2 units in the Cordivae Co-op are going to be available through Habitat! These homes are part of a 10-home community living project that is being co-developed by Frolic and Allied8. In addition to their private unit, these homeowners will have access to a main common house, community “café”, and a shared courtyard, all of which will help foster a strong community and neighborly relationships. With this development being a co-op, owners of these homes will own a 1/10th “share” of the entire community in addition to having the sole right to live in their unit.
Columbia City has it all, from highly rated schools to vibrant public parks, and stellar public transportation. These homes are situated in North Columbia City, just a 7-minute walk from the Mount Baker light rail station. They are also across the street from the Cheasty Green Belt which boasts miles of trails and is situated across from Jefferson Park. Also within walking distance are Kimball Elementary School, Franklin High School, QFC, Safeway, Mekong Asian Market, Jefferson Community Center, and much more. Columbia City is the most diverse neighborhood in the City of Seattle, so you can enjoy the celebration and sharing of culture, food, and tradition. Whether you want a quiet day in your neighborhood or to commute up to vibrant Downtown Seattle, you can do it all when you live in Columbia City!
These homes are expected to be completed by Spring 2024
What is a co-op?
In a housing co-op, you purchase a “share” of the community and have the sole right to live in your unit. With this comes a smaller down payment, and a monthly co-op fee.
Imagine living next door to your friends, with shared car-free space where you can garden, eat outside, and frolic. When you have visitors, they can stay in the shared guest room, and when you have parties or get-togethers, you can use the common house.
