Renton Homes – La Fortuna

The city of Renton is a fast-growing suburb that is an ideal location to raise a family. Renton’s high-performing schools and high-quality medical care make it attractive to families. This project will add much-needed affordable housing stock to this part of King County. The homes slated will be some of the only new, permanent, single-family housing solutions suitable and affordable for low-income families.

These homes will ensure that low-income, individuals and families can continue to have a place to build their lives in King County. As with the more than 390 new, low-income homeowners Habitat has served in King County, these new residents will receive financing with help from Habitat to ensure their housing costs are affordable. These properties will be placed in the Habitat Land Trust, ensuring permanent affordability for future generations and families.

    • 1,225 sq. ft.

  • Sustainable units that are certified to Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards

Resident Profile

  • Must have income at or less than 80% Area Median Income (see chart below)
  • Must be willing to partner and complete Sweat Equity requirements
  • Homes will be resale restricted to provide for permanent affordability
  • For 3-bedroom units: maximum household size of 6 people
  • For 4-bedroom units: minimum household size of 4 people, maximum of 8 people

Financial Information

Habitat requires our homebuyers to finance the purchase of their home with a mortgage.  Any portion of the projected purchase price which is not covered by the mortgage, cash down payment, and/or down payment assistance will be provided by Habitat. 

Housing payments will range between $1,745.00 – $2,700.00 per month. Your monthly payment will be based on your income and household size.  Homebuyers must show that they can afford this payment without being cost-burdened.
